Chimi's Revenge in Mannheim

We took a bowl, 2 quesadillas and 3 tacos and were just disappointed. The rice and meat in the tacos had expired. And yes, sorteas it is daring to say, but if you had smelled it, you would have said that too. If I couldn't give a star, I would. I will never go there again!

This place is a disgrace to Mexican food. The quesadilla we bought were too bland with two much cheese and thick chicken pieces. The tacos were equally bland and had almost whole tomato pieces. The staff were friendly but they let an alarm(?) ring for almost 5 minutes.

Unfortunately it doesn't really taste good. The burrito is without sauce and unfortunately much too dry, the tofu is smoked (which is not written anywhere) ... Unfortunately, that was nothing.

It takes far too long until the food comes - other tables are preferred. The staff are rude. The food is cold and tastes like cardboard. This shop is definitely not recommended.

Fallen from 5 to 1 star! Has the owner changed? When we first ordered Chimi's Revenge a few months ago, our flat share was absolutely enthusiastic - even from those who know Mexican food from Mexico or the USA. Unfortunately the cook seems to have changed hands in the meantime. In any case, the food we ordered was abysmal on our last order. It was an absolute cheek. Tasteless, dried out, half of the ingredients were missing (even the ones we paid extra for), extremely poor quality of the ingredients, everything cold. Even the Tacco chips, which are sure to be bought ready-made, were incredibly bad and tasted and smelled of old frying fat. We'll never order there again.

Friendly personnel but the burritos were really bland, both chicken and veggie. Seriously, you need to reconsider your recipes. If bland is your thing, that's okay too, but not for us. Its not cheap either. If you want a dip that's an extra you have pay for. Lame!

Burritos were very tasty and so were the Mexican bowls. Staff is very friendly and helpful. In short, definitely a place to go for some tasty Mexican food!

We went to Chimis almost every week, but since the new soft tacos were launched, hot tacos have turned into limp shells that fall apart. And in terms of taste they are similar to cinema snacks ... Unfortunately, Chimis has taken care of itself for us.

This is the (new) best Mexican food in Mannheim (period).

Best currywurst and burger in the area. Prices are good too. Can just be recommended. (Big portion)

I got to know and love Mexican cuisine during my semester abroad in San Diego. There I ate at least once at Chipotle's every week. Bowls & Burritos ... that was really missing in Mannheim and the surrounding area. So I was all the more happy when Chimi's opened! That really brings back the Cali vibes! Important tip: Make sure you tell the cashier that you will be notified as soon as the burrito is filled so that you have ingredients such as salsa etc. with you! Really top address.

Can't understand the sometimes mediocre reviews ... The food is authentic and very tasty. Wishes are implemented and the people there are really interested and very nice and attentive. The portions could be a bit bigger but I also like to eat :) 5 stars for me ..

Unfortunately the food had no taste. The tofu was not grilled, it felt like it was on a warm plate for three seconds. Several ingredients were completely missing from the vegan bowl. If while eating you get the feeling that you should go into the kitchen yourself and show the person how to do it right, something is going wrong. But maybe the burritos are better.

After an hour of waiting, our two burritos came. Mine was warm, but without chicken and only one sauce, and my friend's was cold. Not bad taste, but combined with the waiting time, forgetting ingredients and the fact that one burrito was completely cold, definitely not recommended. Will only eat next door at Wittkoop in the future.

Compared to other Mexicans in the area, very disappointing. The food had little taste and was not fresh either. 2 stars only because vegan variations are offered.

I had recently lost my desire to cook, and had no motivation or ideas with which to get back in the kitchen. However, the food I ate here was so bland that I felt compelled to try again. I'm now a gourmet chef with a chain of Michelin star restaurants. Thanks chimi's.

Very good quesedillas, still warm when you pick them up. Chicken and avocado highly recommended.

Ate here when it was my birthday. I'm a big fan of Mexican food, but what I got here was a real disaster. That was gastronomy at the lowest level. I hope that nobody has to have this experience.

Delicious food. The peanut tofu is great in both the tacos and bowl. Would love to come back!

Burito was rather lukewarm, but tasted very tasty. Ambience fits and the price is a bit more expensive.

Delicious and fresh. So far I’ve only tried the vegan bowl, it was excellent. It’s more in the tradition of California Mexican food (fresh ingredients, fusion flavors) than Tex-Mex (everything fried). I will definitely go again. The only downside for American taste is that the spicy salsa is not very spicy - but maybe they have jalapeños or something. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere!

Food is ok, but unfortunately a bit cold. Been there 2 times and both times there was nobody behind the counter. You have to go to the burger store next door and ask if you can order something. Something like that shouldn't happen despite the camera!

Awesome food and extremely friendly staff! Tony was amazing. The food came quick and was clearly fresh. Love that they have vegetarian options as well, such as the tofu bowl. Will be back again! :)

Would love to try the Mexican food here. The shop is well designed, even if the screen animations of the menu hang and therefore hide Llama's menu items. Unfortunately there are no employees here. I waited 5 minutes (or more) and went disappointed. No staff far and wide to take my order at the counter. Pity!
